Pay Per Click Marketing

Pay per click (PPC) marketing often also referred to as cost per click is the process of placing advertisements on a search engines results pages.

On a Google search results page you will notice results on the right hand side of the page (indicated in the diagram below). These results are considered paid results and is where advertisers can buy text advertisements..

In order to get your result displayed in this right had bar you will need to create advertisements and bid on relevant search phrases. Depending on the search phrase this can cost anywhere from R0.40 to R100.00 +.

NOTE: YOU ONLY PAY IF YOUR RESULT IS CLICKED ON.

For example you bid R5.00 on the search phrase “African Travel”, because others have also bid on this search phrase and some have bid a higher amount say R7.50 your result is displayed in position 5 of the paid results. The person who searched for African Travel however notices your result (thanks to your well written ad) and clicks on it. This visitor now costs you R5.00 but is a perfect candidate for your services (they searched for them after all) and could easily turn into a customer that spends R1000s on your services.
